SWEEPING - Including intergrated harrow
Our sweeping service is a good way to start the new season. It removes all the dead grass and other debris that have accumulated over the winter months. More importantly it removes the droppings that carry the worms which cause severe illness in your horses resulting in large veterinary bills.
HARROWING & ROLLING
Using a set of modern grass harrows ensures that the new growth of spring grass has not got to contend with a thick layer of dead grass before it can reach daylight, and thus enhancing its growth.
After harrowing out divots in the paddock, rolling firms up the ground, and the grass recovers.
TOPPING & RESEEDING
For grazing the grass does not want to be too tall, and it needs to be short going into winter if it is not going to be grazed. We can re-seed your paddocks by cutting new seed in without disturbing the surface.
AERATING
It has been proven that slitting a field helps release the nutrients down to the roots quicker. This operation does not disturb the paddock surface.
SPRAYING & FERTILISING
Quite often the paddocks need some help in order to provide the clean and nutritious grazing that you require.
There are a number of horse friendly products on the market for this purpose. Remember, RAGWORT is a killer!
